Assuming that you're not going to add to this post, all I can say is, good! Fighting leads to scuffed shoes and split lips.
More seriously, you can't expect to win everyone round. There will always be people too stupid or insensitive to see your point of view. The only thing that matters is that you believe in your sense of what's right. (And that I think you're cool.)
Thanks, pacian. I think I am going to take a leave of absence from my job, but am not sure yet. People are being puerile and I am not physically or emotionally well, anyway.
